1 Cut the cardboard into strips 4 in (10cm) wide and cover them with tape to make them water/concrete resistant. Join the pieces together with tape to make a strip roughly 32 in (80cm) long (depending on the size of board you want to make).
2 Place the long strip on the board and manipulate it into your chosen shape. I chose an asymmetrical oval with a handle, but a rectangle or circle would also work well. Use cans or jars to keep the cardboard in its shape. Use the stronger duct tape to tape the cardboard to the board. Make sure you tape all the way around so there are no gaps for concrete to seep out.
